Tomorrow is the 1st day of October...and that means Race Day is just around the corner. Speaking of corners, the new Starbucks just opened on the corner of First Street and Main Street, which is outstanding...and their front patio would be one of the ideal viewing spots for the Finish Line!

As I kick-back in my pine box, I don't know what gets me more excited...watching the baseball playoffs or waiting for October 27th to get here?!?  And while I wouldn't want to unfairly influence any Coffin Race fans about whom I might be rooting for in the Pennant Race, I can say that when it comes to OUR own race day here in Napa, I'm going to be cheering for everyone to have a killer time as we eat, drink and race coffins down First Street.  So, make sure you get your teams signed up today!

It Just A'int A Party Til There's Turkey Legs...

You know what I'm talkin' about...those ginormous turkey legs you can get at the fair or any downright American street festival?!?  People gnawing on them, reminiscent of cavemen times, and then washing it down with copious amounts of beer...AAAAHHHH, good times.

Coffee in the morning, beer in the afternoon...

So, word on the street is that there is a Starbucks going in downtown right on Main Street, and they are set to open right around race time...so, there will be coffee in the morning to start the day out right and BEER  in the afternoon to celebrate the coffin races and enjoy the other shenanigans that are sure to be happening...espcially since I heard that "The Ocho" is going to be doing the commentating.  Epic.

Speaking of beer, DID YOU CHECK OUT MY 1ST BLOG AND CHIME IN ON YOUR BEER PREFERENCE YET?!?  PBR OR BEAR REPUBLIC'S IPA?!?  SPEAK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR EMPTY RED SOLO CUP...

The countdown begins to the 1st Annual Napa Valley Coffin Races and one of the most important vendors has been solidified...THE BEER!  Morris Beverage Distributing (www.morrisdistributing.com)  has signed on as our beer distributor and will be bringing copious amounts of Pabst Blue Ribbon and Bear Republic's Racer Five for your drinking enjoyment on race day...
